In June, Bluestone Physician Services will sponsor and host a certification course designed to aid those counseling families dealing with challenges related to dementia.
From June 21-22, Positive Approach to Care (PAC) will offer a consultant certification course for professionals counseling and advising families working through dementia-related challenges. Participants will learn methods to provide the appropriate resources and support at the right time to dementia patients. The course is recommended for geriatric care managers, social workers, senior living advisers, marriage and family therapists, faith-based leaders, elder law attorneys and anyone interacting with individuals facing dementia.
Teepa Snow, one of the leading educators on dementia and its care, founded PAC to engage those experiencing changes in brain function. Her philosophy and education comes from a lifetime of professionally caring for and personally living with patients with various forms of dementia.
This event will be held at Bluestone Physician Services, 201 Second St. North, Stillwater, Minn. 55082.
