Bluestone names Brandon Clark Chief Executive Officer

Bluestone, a national leader in value-based care for complex, high-needs populations, announced Brandon Clark, a healthcare executive with more than 15 years of experience scaling multi-state, value-based care and primary care platforms, as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective Monday, Aug. 3.

Clark joins Bluestone from Equality Health, where he spent more than seven years in senior executive roles, most recently as President, helping scale the platform’s membership from 150,000 to 900,000 members across five states.

Clark will build on Bluestone’s 20-year legacy of delivering team-based primary care to patients in senior living communities and partnering with health plans to provide care coordination services that bridge gaps for their most vulnerable members. Bluestone’s care teams, partner relationships and day-to-day points of contact remain unchanged, as does the standard of care partners have come to expect.

A nationally recognized value-based care partner
Bluestone is an established leader in value-based care and ranks among the top five Accountable Care Organizations in the U.S. for savings per patient as part of the Medicare Shared Savings Program. Clark’s experience spans strategy, finance, operations and payer partnerships — capabilities Bluestone will draw on as it expands accountable care services for independent primary care practices and evaluates Medicare’s new LEAD Model.

Clark’s career reflects that same commitment. As founding CEO of Circle the City, an Arizona nonprofit providing healthcare to individuals experiencing homelessness, he grew a grassroots effort into a multi-site, $20-million Federally Qualified Health Center serving more than 10,000 individuals annually. He also held senior roles at Banner Health, where he led consumer experience strategies that improved patient satisfaction and hospital-wide HCAHPS performance. Clark is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
